Local Community Cleanup Groups

The Wichita RiverWalk Cleanup Crew is a group of people who get together once a month to help clean up the area around the Arkansas and Little Arkansas Rivers in Wichita.  Each month an event notice will be posted on the group's Facebook page with meeting details. 

The Downtown Wichita organization hosts a cleanup every spring.  Watch their Facebook page or website for details about the next cleanup event.

The City of Wichita offers select communities within the city a "no-cost, city-funded" clean up.  You can find details about the program and apply on the Neighborhood Clean-up Program website.

Wichita Clean Streams was established in 2014 to develop and implement water quality improvement projects in the community that restore and protect the overall health of the river.  As part of their work, Clean Streams hosts clean-ups along the river.  Learn more on their events website.

The Arkansas River Coalition's mission is to protect, restore, and improve the entire watershed of the Arkansas River and enhance the well being of all life it sustains. As part of the mission, ARC occasionally hosts clean-ups along the river.  Learn more on their website or Facebook page.
